WCG and Jason Watson, CPA, have released the 2020 edition of Taxpayer’s Comprehensive Guide to LLCs and S Corps. 340 pages of pure pleasure! This issue has updated 2020 data, such as IRA limits and social security wage limits, but it also contains a wealth of new information in Chapter 2 for custom structures for multi-entities. Sounds!

We have several examples that show how the 199A division works, why S companies are an excellent tool for tax savings and why it is not bad to return to a C business. We also discuss entity formation, S Corp elections, reasonable shareholder salary and business tax deductions. In fact, the article 199A stuff is only about 40 pages of material … the rest are great fashion business articles!

Before you spend your money, we encourage you to check out the highlights below and download a sample of the taxpayer’s extensive guide for LLCs and S Corps using the following button, or the electronic but complete version of ours KnowledgeBase-

But if you say to yourself, “Self, just get the darn book and start doing business”, then click on one of the buttons below-

Here are some testimonials to make you feel better (of course we only chose the good ones … just like references) –

Ronny R. says, ‘I enjoyed it! Gave me a lot to talk about with my CPA. ‘

Britt S., Esq. says, “Thank you so much for talking to me last week! You are amazing and I appreciate all the information you have sent me. I adore your book completely! ”

Lisa A. says: ‘Detailed information on the pros and cons of starting a small business. Very fine detail on the tax benefits and consequences. NOT a ‘dummies’ book – it assumes you already have some background knowledge.’

Brett B. says, ‘I read your Comprehensive S Corp’ book. Wow. You blew my mind. I thought I understood S Corps. ”

Larry M. says, ‘I found this helpful, but I could go into a little more detail. There is one main way to save money as a corporation, and how to determine ‘how much you can get away with’ could be expanded a bit more. Otherwise a pretty good guide. ‘

MS says: ‘Very well read for owners of own corporations for the first time. Includes all the most important basic tax and reservation measures. Well written and easy to understand for those unfamiliar with tax law. ‘

Let us know if you buy our 330-page book and think we did not help you understand small business tax law or the benefits of S corporations. We never want you to feel that you have wasted your money. If you are ready to give informative reading in your day, click on one of the preferences. Amazon is processed by Amazon, and the PDF is securely processed by ClickBank which will email you the PDF as an attachment.

The current version is the 2020 edition, which includes the 2017 Tax Savings and Jobs Act, section 199A deductions for small businesses and the 2019 SECURE Act. We may have additional updates as the IRS provides further guidance. Send us an email to let us know you want an updated version, and we’ll send it for free. How can I avoid self-employment taxes? This simple question was the inspiration to create an article describing the benefits of an S Corporation. That original article, which was about four pages long, quickly became a series of KnowledgeBase articles on the WCG (formerly Watson CPA Group) website. The articles touched on basic topics such as how to choose S Corp status, shareholder payment, reasonable salary determination and liability protection. These broad topics demanded much more information, both horizontally by spreading more related issues, and vertically by digging deeper into the grainy, yet engaging levels of the tax code. In addition to the general S Corp benefits, our 2020 edition of this book will show you

Every week we receive a number of calls and emails from small business owners and other CPAs across the country who have read our Taxpayer’s comprehensive guide to LLCs and S Corps and praised the wealth of information. Regardless of your current situation, whether you are considering starting your own business or holding a contracting concert, or you are an experienced business owner, the contents of this book are for you.

This book was written with the general taxpayer in mind. Too many resources simply revive the complicated tax code without explaining it. In some cases, tax code and court rulings are duplicated verbatim because of the precision of the words, but this book strives to explain many technical concepts in layman’s language, with a little humor and opinions. We believe you will find this book educational as well as entertaining.

Section 199A deduction, also known as the Qualified Business Income Deduction (QBID), stems from the Tax Savings and Jobs Act of 2017. It is a significant tax break for small business owners, but of course there are rules and limits. We have written a short article that subtracts a qualified business for the qualified operating income, including the dreaded specified service trade definitions (which can easily be summarized as ‘any trade or business where the main asset is the reputation or skill’). the owner). All of these things are in our book too!

S-enterprises remain a critical tool for tax savings for two reasons. In the first place, the usual tax savings on self-employment remain intact for all business owners, including specific service industries or businesses. Second, a business owner must pay W-2 wages to himself or herself not to be restricted by income, and only companies can pay W-2 wages to owners (in other words, an LLC cannot do without an S Corp. -election). Read the article above for sound information!

This information is also included in our book, with examples and calculations. Happy happy joy Joy!

WCG specializes in small businesses that generally have less than 100 employees. Why? We want to help people, and more importantly, we want to help the business owner directly. Honestly: once a business reaches a certain size, low access to owners can get in the way. Access enables us to ensure that the owner (s) make the most of their business for themselves and their families.

Since small businesses are a core skill for us, we have put together business advice plans that include these very cool things

We also have tax patrol! This is a great tax service for those who do not need all the bells and whistles above, but from time to time want the love of an experienced tax consultant and business advisor. Do you have a quick tax question? Do you need to know the depreciation rules when buying the new car? Wondering what your April tax bill will be in August? Tax patrol is like ski patrol … you may not use it, but you sleep better knowing you have it.

The following are additional business services to get your business up and running. Some of these are teased separately as one and pay fees such as formation and on board.

Wage processing We earn very little profit with wage processing … we offer it as a convenience to our customers. One throat choking with a single call can be reassuring, but if you want to manage your payroll, go for it! Everyone thinks payroll is a piece of cake; write a check and done. No … we see a lot of mistakes that customers make, especially when dealing with health insurance and HSA contributions, as there are special rules for more than 2% of S Corp shareholders. Again, we do not care about correcting what is broken.

Tax returns You can also file your own tax return … but the benefit that WCG prepares for individual and business tax returns is that we move things up, depending on income constraints, phase-out, alternative minimum tax (AMT), section 199A deduction optimization, etc. If we have the arms around both, it can yield great tax savings!

We are not salespeople. We do not put lipstick on a pig and try to convince you to like it, even if Tom Ford’s Wild Ginger looks great. Our work is still professionally detached, giving you information and letting you decide.

We see far too many crazy schemes and half-baked ideas from lawyers and wealth managers. In some cases, these are good ideas. In most cases, all the entities, layering, and mixed ownership are merely the illusion of precision. Just because you can complicate the shit out of your life, does not mean you have to do it. Just like Chris Rock says, it’s not a good idea, just because you can ride with your feet with your feet.

As mentioned elsewhere, we focus primarily on small business owners and their unique consulting and tax preparation needs. With more than 40 full-time consulting professionals, including certified accountants, registered agents and certified financial planners in your team, WCG consults customized business structures, multiple business arrangements, S-corps elections (even late S-corps elections until January), tax evasion strategies, tax evasion strategies , executive management benefits, retirement planning, including individual 401,000 plans, retirement strategies, business valuations, income tax planning and modeling, and tax representation.

We also work with business law attorneys for business owners who have additional needs, such as drafting operating agreements, service contract fees, buying or selling a business, including employee share ownership plans and partner purchases. In addition, WCG coordinates with third-party plan administrators such as Polycomp and RPS to develop age-based profit-sharing plans and cash balance plans (fixed benefits). We can determine the point that your business needs to ensure that communication is effective and efficient so that you can sell widgets.
